That last row is the whole game. Most of your audience is on a phone, and phones see roughly a quarter of what you designed. Anything essential — channel name, tagline, upload schedule — has to live inside the central 1546 × 423 safe area. The rest of the canvas is atmosphere: colour, texture, a photograph that bleeds outward. Design it so that cropping to the safe area loses nothing you needed.
